Method of solubilization of cholesterol, solubilization of cholesterol gallstones.

Subject: 

The object of the invention is a method of solubilization of cholesterol gallstones, consisting in shaking gallstones at a temperature of 35 – 42°C for not less than 24 hours with an aqueous solution of products of catalytic oxyethylation of fractions of pork lard with N 30 – 70. The process is carried out at an equilibrium solvent concentration system above the critical micellar concentration, and then a saturated micellar solution of micellar-solubilized cholesterol is separated from cholesterol gallstones. 

Benefits: 

Oxyethylated triglycerides of pork lard fractions are potential solubilizing prodrugs for in vitro conditions. These non-ionic surfactants with N 30 – 70, not being xenobiotics for the human immune system, in aqueous solution at equilibrium solvent concentrations above the critical micellar concentration, solubilize (in vitro lithosis process) chlesterol molecules with HLB1HNMR ≈1.0 from the surface of gallstone granules.

Application: 

The technology for cholesterol gallstones solubilization may pose the basis for the development of a pro-drug, or an effective clinical or population drug formulation for cholesterol gallstones.
