Subject: 

The object of the invention is a cap for the tip of the handle of a laryngoscope, an instrument used for direct laryngoscopy. 

Benefits: 

The invention is a simple technical solution – an overlay on the top of the laryngoscope handle, the main function of which is to keep the endotracheal tube in sight, ready for application and away from the contamination of the rescue operation. 

The solution is lightweight, flexible, through the use of tabs in the socket on the handle – it can be adapted to different types and sizes of laryngoscopes, facilitates the work of the operator, without hindering in any way the performance of the procedure. 

The use of the described solution forces the need to prepare the correct equipment in advance – 2 seconds compared to the indefinite time spent looking for the tube. Once the epiglottis is made visible, it causes maximum focus on the correct placement of the endotracheal tube in the trachea, which translates into reduced time and increased efficiency of the intubation procedure. The cap is circular in shape from the root (the point of application to the laryngoscope handle) and transitions to a flat rectangle with a hole for hooking the endotracheal tube tip, which is universal for the age of the patient. This design means that the operator has all the necessary items for intubation in one place and at hand.

The solution has been tested under real conditions.

Improving procedures on respiratory track in difficult conditions, in the case of limited skills of medical personnel and to take care of the health and life of the patient, but also the work comfort of doctors, nurses and paramedics.
