Employees of the Department of Biology and Parasitology conduct research in the field of medical mycology, e.g. searching for fungi potentially pathogenic to humans and parasites in the environment, mechanisms of fungal resistance to antimycotics, searching for new compounds with antifungal activity and the participation of human mycobiota in the development of civilization and metabolic diseases.
