Project description

Digital transformation in healthcare – EIT Health training modules

The project, implemented by the Medical University of Łódź as part of the EIT Health Flagships: Training Modules towards EIT Labelled Certification (CERT) program, aims to develop and implement modern educational modules supporting digital transformation in healthcare.

The initiative focuses on developing key competencies in innovation, entrepreneurship, problem solving, and critical thinking, as well as skills related to the management of medical technologies and digital solutions in public health.

Project objectives:

  • to create a training program based on best practices and international standards,
  • to support interdisciplinary education for students and healthcare professionals,
  • to prepare participants to actively implement innovation in the medical sector,
  • disseminate content throughout Europe, with a particular focus on countries covered by the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS).

Results:

By the end of 2025, the following will be created:

  • a complete curriculum with visualization of educational paths,
  • a modern method of competence assessment based on substantive content,
a report highlighting the role of non-university partners in the creation of the program,
  • a set of teaching modules available on the EIT Health Academy platform.

The project also aims to obtain UEMS EACCME accreditation for the continuing professional development of healthcare professionals, which will increase its importance and recognition at the European level.

Why is this important?

The dynamic development of digital technologies is changing the way healthcare systems operate. Our project responds to these challenges by providing tools for the conscious, effective, and ethical use of innovation. In this way, we support the development of more modern, sustainable, and accessible healthcare in Europe.
