Subject: 

The subject of the invention is an endotracheal tube stabilizer adapted to be placed around the patient’s mouth and attached to the patient’s head via a strap element. The invention includes a mounting part, an endotracheal tube and a base in the form of an elongated plate. The base and the mounting element are made of a flexible material and forming a single stabilizer. The mounting part is annular and connected to the long edge of the base substantially halfway along its length. In the plane running along the connection of the base with the mounting part, the base has a transverse slit, forming two side parts of the base that are swiveling relatively to each other.

The solution is superior to other systems of this type available on the market due to: 

• Faster and easier installation that does not require tape (it is made of only one element that does not have to be connected to the belt at the factory); 
• Lower production costs resulting from simplified construction; 
• Better bacteriostatic properties thanks to the use of smooth surfaces; 
• Greater patient comfort thanks to the use of touch-friendly silicone; 
• Due to its flexibility, it will better adapt to the profile of the face; 
• Environmentally friendly silicone and design enabling automatic disconnection of the strap and silicone part (waste segregation). The stabilizer, as a prototype version, is created on 3D printers, but in mass production it will be cast from a mold.

Application: 

The subject of the invention is an endotracheal tube stabilizer intended for use by emergency medical services as well as in hospital conditions, with particular emphasis on intensive care units and thoracic surgery.
