Subject: 

The object of the invention is a method of chemical modification of yarn using oxidized graphene. The solution according to the invention is used in particularly in products for medical applications. 

Benefits: 

This made it possible to change the properties of the core material by giving it additional characteristics, in particular electrical conductivity, UV resistance or bactericidal properties. 

In addition, the invention makes it possible to immobilize bioactive substances via a polymer that combines with the antimicrobial action of metals (such as silver). 

Stage of work: 

A series of processes and technological trials – optimization of properties and process. 

Application: 

Wide range of use in products for medical applications.
