Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine, founded in 2016 and managed by dr. hab. n. med. Wojciech Fendler prof. UM, consists of a talented young team scientists who implement the most current data analysis methods to medical research. Using our skills as well the latest tools in the fields of molecular biology and computer science in inter- and multidisciplinary research, allows us to search answers to even the most complex clinical problems.

Our team, being in the heart of Poland, cooperates with institutions from the whole country – with medical schools and polytechnics from Lodz, Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw, Bialystok. Our pursuit of excellence  in the field of research and development in medicine has enabled us to initiate cooperation with numerous foreign centers of such fame as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, USA. Our group consists  from highly qualified physicians / biostatisticsists, thanks to which we provide clients with top-class methodological advice research additionally enriching the results of statistical analysis with clinically relevant context.

Medical departments such as are crucial in the development of our plant oncology, genetics and metabolic disorders, but our services are used in most branches of biomedical sciences.

Additionally, using the interdisciplinary skills of members we prepare and implement solutions that allow automation of simple analyzes or repeatable use in practice produced statistical models in the form of calculators or pages web with calculation / prediction module. Our scope of activities includes  also data-mining analysis techniques using algorithms artificial intelligence.
