Title:

Method of manufacturing a multilayer microfluidic device for tissue culture under dynamic conditions.

Protection status:

Patent No. Pat.238703

Subject:

The object of the invention is a method of manufacturing a multilayer microfluidic device (platform) for tissue culture under dynamic (flow) conditions, consisting of at least six layers, including: a bottom and lid, an adhesive layer, at least one auxiliary glass layer, at least one elastomeric functional layer and at least one hydrogel layer.

Benefits:

The invention makes it possible to produce in silico dynamic conditions, accurately mimicking in vivo conditions, resulting from fluid flow in the vessels of the circulatory and lymphatic systems and within the extracellular matrix, mimicking phenomena present in living organisms, such as the phenomena of transport of oxygen, nutrients, drugs and metabolites, and impossible to reproduce in vitro during classical tissue culture: suspension cultures, on solid media and scaffolds. The possibility of limiting the use of animal models in the study of new drugs and accelerating preclinical research due to the high reproducibility of results and compatibility of artificial tissues with human genetic material.

Stage of work:

Ready-to-use technology.

Application:

The technology could find application in many areas of laboratory research: tissue engineering, pharmacological and oncological research, and stem cell research.
